Updated: Motorcycle Driver Airlifted After Crash

Holliston police and fire responded to the crash Monday afternoon.

Monday afternoon the Holliston Fire Department responded to a motorcycle crash on Brook Street.

According to a press release from Fire Chief Michael Cassidy, the Deputy Chief responded to the crash report with paramedics and EMS at 2:48 p.m.

"Based on initial assessment of injuries by medical personnel, the decision was made to transport the patient to a trauma center by helicopter," Cassidy said in an email.

Cassidy assisted other firefighters with securing a landing zone on Central Street for Boston MedFlight.

The 53-year-old male motorcycle driver was flown to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Holliston Police Department .
