New Mom Takes Off on Her Ducklings, Leaves Them at High School

HOLLISTON, MA—The mom must have felt it was more than she could handle.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston was called out to rescue some ducklings that were born, and abandoned, in an enclosed courtyard at Holliston High School earlier this week.

The ducklings were all transported to a rehab center.

"They went to rehab because the mom took off and did not return," said Brian O'Connor from the ARL. "Most times we will try to either catch the mom with the young ones, or reunite them outside the enclosed area, but we were unable to do so in this case because she didn't come back."
