Police Break-Up Bonfire Party on Fruit Street

Thursday, May 30

1:24 a.m.: The Southborough Police Department contacted a Hopkinton resident in regards to people at a business he owned in Southborough.

8:58 a.m.: A caller from Pond Street reported that their washing machine was smoking.

10:22 a.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with an alarm on Wood Street.

12:46 p.m.: Officers assisted serving a warrant on Hayden Rowe Street, Joseph Gustino Neri, 31, of 116 Hayden Rowe St. was arrested.

2:18 p.m.: A caller from West Main Street reported a break-in that occurred earlier in the afternoon.

6:14 p.m.: A 911 caller from Edge Hill Road reported the smell of smoke in her house.

Friday, May 31

6:29 a.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported equipment operation in violation of the town’s bylaws.

9:04 a.m.: An officer attempted to help a resident of Nazneen Circle with a snake in their garage.

5:05 p.m.: A caller reported a man acting suspiciously and playing guitar in his car next to a daycare on South Street. Officers checked the area but the vehicle and man were gone.

8:28 p.m.: Officers responded to a domestic incident on Church Street. The couple was just arguing and it was not physical.

9:00 p.m.: A caller from Chadwick Way reported two vehicles full of youth traveling in reverse down the road while yelling and screaming.

9:55 p.m.: An officer found several vehicles on Fruit Street and a bonfire. Verbal warnings were issued to everyone in attendance for trespassing and the fire was extinguished.

Saturday, June 1

5:33 a.m.: An officer found a State Police Sergeant at the Town Common who was waiting for assistance with marathon runners. The Hopkinton Police Department was unaware of any event.

4:46 p.m.: A caller from Lumber Street reported a rabid raccoon that was trying to break into her house.

10:31 p.m.: Several callers reported a small brush fire on North Mill Street. The fire apparently started at a telephone pole and NStar was contacted.

Sunday, June 2

1:30 p.m.: A caller from Priscilla Road reported a tree branch on fire on the power lines.

8:00 p.m.: Several callers reported a crash on Route 495 with entrapment. The ambulance transported one person to the hospital.
