Rude Solicitor Annoys Residents of Daniel Shays Road

Friday, June 7
2:57 p.m.: Officers assisted a resident of Front Street who reported a break-in.
3:30 p.m.: A caller from Daniel Shays Road reported that a young male knocked on his door and said he was selling magazines. The male then asked for $800. When the caller shut the door the male kept talking. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspect.

4:23 p.m.: A caller from Daniel Shays Road reported a rude magazine solicitor.
5:09 p.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported that a very polite male stopped at her house and asked for money for inner city children.

6:41 p.m.: A caller from Palomino Drive reported a male walking around the neighborhood acting suspiciously. An officer responded and brought the male to the station where he was told to wait for his supervisor to pick him up. The male was given a copy of the solicitor registration form.
Saturday, June 8
7:43 a.m.: A 911 caller from North Mill Street reported a wired had fallen and lit a tree on fire. The Hopkinton Fire Department responded and blocked the road off at Laurel Canyon and Front Street.
12:!2 p.m.: A caller from Palomino Drive reported that a man went to a neighboring house and said he was a solicitor, then went behind the house with another man. Officers responded.
1:39 p.m.: An officer took a report of several car windshields smashed on Granite Street.
7:11 p.m.: A caller from a business on Hayden Rowe Street reported that someone had broken into her store and stolen items.
Sunday, June 9
2:51 a.m.: A caller from Saddle Hill Road reported loud music. An officer responded and had the homeowner turn the music down.
11:08 a.m.: A caller from West Elm Street reported that she found a shoe next to her mailbox and $10.
4:19 p.m.: Officers assisted the fire department with a brush fire on Route 495.
6:09 p.m.: A caller reported a male relieving himself in public on Pendulum Pass.
Monday, June 10
2:23 a.m.: An officer responded to a car vs. rock wall crash on Wood Street. The driver was given a written warning for marked lanes violation. An officer notified the homeowner later in the morning.
