Allandale Road Project Receives BRA Approval
Last week the Boston Redevelopment Authority green-lit the 20-unit, eco-friendly subdivision in West Roxbury near the Jamaica Plain border.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA - A proposed environmentally friendly, storm resistant subdivision near Allandale Woods has received approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
Construction of the 20-unit development on two acres of land on Allandale Road was authorized by the BRA last week; the project, which would also contain 47 parking spaces, must still be approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals before work can begin, according to Universal Hub.
In its filing with the BRA last summer, the 64 Allandale project's developer, Wonder Group LLC, said that the homes would add no additional strain to the regional electricity grid and be able to withstand potential superstorms, Universal Hub reported.

The subdivision would consist of 16 townhouses and four units integrated into an existing house on the land, with the new units being positioned on a hill for optimal use of solar panels.
Each residence will also have its own charging station for plug-in vehicles.
