Boston Babysitters Among Highest Paid in America

According to a new report released by MarketWatch, Boston ranks among the top three cities in the United States when it comes to hiring a babysitter.

Babysitters in Boston are paid an average of $15.37 an hour these days, research done by Care.com indicates. Only two cities rank ahead of Boston in terms of an hourly wage. San Francisco checked in at the top spot with an average rate of $16.55 an hour. San Jose followed with an average rate of $15.63 an hour.

Care.com’s research also indicates more parents are seeking babysitters who are first aid and CPR certified. As a result of such demands, babysitters are earning $5 more than the minimum wage in Boston, which is $9 an hour.
