Boston Marathon 2018: Who Is Running From Jamaica Plain

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — The Boston Marathon is here, most of the fundraising for charities is wrapping up and the runners are stretching and getting ready to carbo load. In a matter of a few days runners will stand in Hopkinton and prepare to put all that training to good use. All 26.2 miles of it with their closest 30,000 fellow runners and thousands more cheering along the way.

This 70 residents from JP will be among that crowd of runners as it runs through eight municipalities and ends on Boylston Street.

Of that 70, this year 36 women from JP got bib assignments, the rest were men. The youngest from JP running this year is an 21 year old. The one with the most years on the planet running? 60
