The Boston Redevelopment Authority has approved three new neighborhood projects, for Jamaica Plain, Dorchester and Hyde Park.
The Boston Business Journal reported that a $40 million plan to build 124 housing units in Jamaica Plain was approved. The units will be built on “Parcel U,” which is a narrow strip of MBTA land in town. The project’s developers say it’s among the largest housing developments in the history of Forest Hills, whose commuter-rail station is located a short distance away from the three-acre Parcel U.
Parcel U plans call for the construction of 48 condominiums in 24 townhouses in 2015, which will be the first phase of the project.
