Call to Artists: Help Transform Egleston Square
Apply to the Boston Arts Commission scheme to transform the utility boxes into art.
Have your art on display for all to see - as long as that art is on a utility box.
Egleston Square Main Street and the Boston Art Commission have teamed up to transform the utility boxes in Egleston Square into public art pieces that celebrate the diverse community of Egleston Square.
Egleston Square Main Street announced an open call on Monday for local artists to submit their designs for the scheme.

Artists are encourage to approach this as a site-specific installation, incorporating themes that reflect its location. Such context can be gained by personal research of provided thematic considerations or personal interviews. Utility Box locations can be found on the Google Map site.
Accepted artists are eligible for an award totaling $500. Â Submissions must be received before midnight (11:59 PM) on July 25.
