Cat Named 'Blue' is Blue No More After Cross-Country Trek
Cougar kitten calls Beantown's Franklin Park Zoo new home after being unable to survive in the Idaho wild.

A four-week-old cougar kitten has made it to Boston after being rescued in the wild in Idaho .
MyFoxBoston reported that the five-pound kitten, named ‘Blue,’ was found near Salmon, Idaho. The furry feline is currently being bottle fed at the Franklin Park Zoo.
After being found in Idaho, Blue was taken to a local veterinary clinic. Hoping to unite the kitten with his mother, the Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game returned him to where he was found the very next day. It was a failed attempt; he was found yet again by “persons” unknown and apparently abandoned. The kitten was brought into the clinic for a second time and a call was made to find Blue a new home.

According to BostInno, Blue was named after JetBlue, the airline company that organized a safe transport for the cub from Idaho to Boston. Blue will stay at the zoo’s hospital for at least 30 days and will be moved to the Stone Zoo after he is big enough. Stone Zoo, just north of Boston, is located in Stoneham.
Blue will be in the cougar exhibit within Stone Zoo’s Treasures of the Sierra Madre in winter 2015.
