City Slow To Fix Some Jamaica Plain Problems Reported By Residents

Abandoned cars remain abandoned, rats continue to roam.

Judging from Citizens Connect, scores of problems reported by citizens around Boston are being addressed fairly quickly, with more than 25,000 complaints closed and 1,281 still open.

But dig a little deeper and it appears problems fester in Jamaica Plain, especially when it comes to abandon cars and rat infestation.

Several abandon cars reported more than a week ago remain parked where citizens located them in reports to the city. At least two reports of rat infestations have gone unaddressed. And this sketchy sidewalk repair shown above, at the intersection of School Street and School Street Place, was reported six days ago.
