Community Servings Seeking Pie Delivery Drivers
Have a car? A sweet way to give back is just around the corner.
JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — Community Servings' Pie in the Sky fundraiser is almost over, but they still need your help.
On Nov. 22, the JP-based non-profit is seeking volunteer drivers to help pick up and deliver pies to locations around Greater Boston.
Pie in the Sky supports Community Servings, which offers free home-delivered meals and nutrition program for the critically ill. The fundraiser is meant to not only raise money for the cause, but engage the community in Community Servings' mission.

It's been going on since 1993, and the premise is fairly simple.
Pies sell for $30, the cost of delivering a week of meals to a Community Servings client. Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of volunteers and the donations of local restaurants, bakeries and corporations, $0.91 of every $1 goes back to the non-profit's mission, according to Community Servings.
