Fourth of July Weekend Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms Likely Tonight

Thunderstorms are expected in Massachusetts tonight, but then it looks to be smooth sailing into the holiday weekend.

If we can just survive tonight, the Fourth of July holiday weekend weather looks like it'll be perfect.

The National Weather Service is warning all of Massachusetts (except for Berkshires County) of the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms Friday night. The farther west you are, the greater the risk for the storms.

The Weather Channel still says Worcester and Boston areas could see a possible stray afternoon thunderstorm and that evening storms are likely. Possible storms are also anticipated out off the coast and up in the Merrimack Valley area.
