Free BSO, Pops Concert, Festival In Franklin Park
Sunday the BSO and the Pops will play the Star Wars Theme when they take the stage for a free concert after a festival there.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — If you're looking for something to do this weekend, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops, in partnership with the City of Boston, are holding a free concert in Boston's Franklin Park Sunday, October 1, on the heels of a community arts festival that's happening there.
It's the first time the Pops and the BSO will take the stage outside in a free concert together, according to organizers.
Though the Boston Pops have performed at Franklin Park twice before-in 2000, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, and in 1968 with Arthur Fiedler-this will be the first performance by the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Boston's largest park, and the first time BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons has led the orchestra in an outdoor venue in Boston.
