Fundraising Begins for JP Music Festival

The festival showcasing local acts has set a goal of $5,000 by July 31.

Jamaica Plain, MA – Fundraising has started for this year's JP Music Festival, a concert series produced by Jamaica Plain residents to showcase the music of local acts.

Last year, more than 4,000 people attended the festival, which boasted 22 acts, seven food trucks and activities for kids, according to the JP Music Festival fundraising page.

The JP Music Festival is funded by local sponsors, resident donations and fundraising at neighborhood businesses throughout the year.

So far the producers have raised $460 of their $5,000 goal; the festival is slated for September if the goal is met.
