Gas Prices Across Massachusetts Continue to Fall

Gas prices dipped another 6 cents since last week. Check out where the lowest prices are in Boston.

There is a more of a relieve at the pump again this week.

Gas prices in Massachusetts are down another six cents from last week, making them the lowest locally since the beginning of May, announced AAA Northeast.

In a survey on Aug. 3 by AAA, the organization found that in the Bay State, self-serve, regular unleaded averaged $2.58 per gallon.

In Boston, the lowest is $2.53 at JP Auto Service on Centre Street, according to gasbuddy.com.

Prices locally are 17 cents less than a month ago. The current price is seven cents less than the national average for self-serve unleaded of $2.65. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was 98 cents higher at $3.56, said AAA in an announcement.
