Group Of Kids Accused Of Robberies, Assaults Near Jackson Square
Boston and State Police are investigating a series of assaults and robberies in Jamaica Plain and are urging vigilance.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — A group of youths, some as young as elementary school-aged, have assaulted and robbed people in Jamaica Plain, police said.
Police are investigating several reports of people being assaulted or having cellphones or other electronics stolen by a group of about 10 young people in Jackson Square and the Southwest Corridor areas of Jamaica.
State Police said they are increasing patrols in the area. Officers are advising anyone who walks around the Southwest Corridor near Jackson Square to be aware of their surroundings at all times and not to display phones or other electronics.

This comes after Brookline Police reported a group of young people doing something similar along the Emerald Necklace pathway.
