Holiday Tree Lighting In JP 2017: Hyde Square And The Monument
The Hyde Square Tree Lighting is on first then move down to the monument for more of the holiday spirit.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — Although the tree in Hyde Square is gone there will still be a tree lighting in the newly renovated circle (square?). And Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is slated to stop by Hyde Square on his annual holiday tour.
“Our holiday trolley tour and tree lightings provide some of the best family memories of the year, building community spirit throughout Boston and bringing a little extra joy to residents during the holiday season,” said Walsh in a statement.
But back to JP. When and where can you get your fill of holiday lights? Saturday, Dec. 2. There will be snacks and of course hot chocolate. Down across from the monument the Loring-Greenough House opens their doors for the community to enjoy refreshments, activities, and an art sale. This year look for holiday music courtesy the Boston-based acapella group Random Chants.
