A severe blaze on Dunster Road in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood left two residents without a home and caused $300,000 worth of damage on Saturday afternoon.
The two-alarm fire broke out at a two-family home on 46 Dunster Road around 3:30 p.m. The fire escalated to three alarms before firefighters could get it under control, according to the Boston Fire Department.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time, but that it broke out on the home’s rear porch.
