Jamaica Plain Hour-by-Hour Forecast: Heavy Rain, T-Storms

Temperatures will drop into the 20s this weekend and there could be some snow.

Heavy rain and possibly thunderstorms will hit the region Thursday afternoon into Friday.

Temperatures will then drop into the 20s Saturday and Sunday, resulting in brief periods of snow. No accumulation is expected.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather alert:

SHOWERS WITH BRIEF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY RESULT IN TYPICAL NUISANCE POOR DRAINAGE STREET FLOODING THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...BUT NOT SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED. THE RAIN COMBINED WITH SIGNIFICANT SNOWMELT MAY CAUSE SOME AREA RIVER LEVELS TO APPROACH FLOOD STAGE. HOWEVER...NO RIVER FLOODING IS CURRENTLY EXPECTED.
