Lantern Parade: Where to Make Your Lanterns, Get Supplies

Workshops cost $5, and there are a few opportunities still left before the parade this weekend at Jamaica Pond.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — The 33rd annual Lantern Parade lights up Jamaica Pond this weekend, and there are a few opportunities left to buy supplies and make your own glowing contribution.

The Jamaica Pond Lantern Parade, put on by Spontaneous Celebrations and Friends of Jamaica Pond, is this Saturday and Sunday. Live music starts at 5:30 p.m., with the parade at 6:30 p.m.

Between now and then, if you'd like to get the supplies and the know-how to make your own lantern, there are a few workshops left. The cost is $5.
