The 2015 MCAS scores are out. Boston students placed among the worst of all schools in Massachusetts. The city ranks 270th among 291Â school districts with 66% of 10th-grade students scoring proficient of advanced on the annual standardized test.
Boston ranked 277th in the state for the English Language Arts portion of the test. 82% of students earned either proficient or advanced.
The city ranked 271st in the state for the Math portion of the test. 67% of students earned either proficient or advanced.

And finally, Boston ranked 274th in the state for the Science portion of the test. 50% of students earned either proficient or advanced.
Between the three sections, 68% of students earned a needs improvement grade. 33% scored within the warning/failing area.
