BOSTON, MA — It's National Coffee Day. To celebrate, Hubway it is offering free Hubway passes.
For those of you who missed what Hubway is, it launched in 2011, and is metro-Boston's public bike share program, with more than 1,800 bikes at some 180 stations across Boston, Brookline, Cambridge and Somerville. Hubway is owned by the municipalities of Boston, Brookline, Cambridge and Somerville, and operated by Motivate.
Like other bike share systems, it consists of a fleet of specially designed, sturdy bikes that are locked into a network of docking stations throughout the city. The bikes can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system, making them ideal for one-way trips.
