"The Nature Plays" to Premiere at Mount Auburn Cemetery
Jamaica Plain actress Lisa Tucker featured in new works this spring at Mount Auburn Cemetery from June 1-9, 2019
Announcing the world premiere of "The Nature Plays", a series of five outdoor plays created by Mount Auburn Cemetery’s first Playwright Artist-in-Residence, Patrick Gabridge. The Nature Plays will run June 1-9, 2019 at Mount Auburn Cemetery (580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138) highlighting the rich natural environment of America's first garden Cemetery and 175-acre arboretum in the heart of Cambridge, MA. Jamaica Plain actress Lisa Tucker will be featured, portraying various roles from 19th century naturalist Asa Gray to a modern day bird-watcher on the hunt for the elusive Cerulean Blue warbler.
“The Nature Plays” will run for 8 performances over two weekends; two shows on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00 and 5:00 pm. The entire performance will run for approximately 75 minutes and will include walking within the Cemetery on paved and unpaved surfaces; total walking distance approx. 1 mile; rain or shine. Each performance will be followed by a moderated discussion.

Lisa Tucker (AEA, SAG-AFTRA) is a founding member of Beau Jest Moving Theater and has co-created and appeared in all their shows, including the title roles in their Elliot Norton-winning Krazy Kat and IRNE-winning The Remarkable Rooming-house of Madame Lemonde. Other credits include Next Door Theater, Aim Stage, Centastage, Fort Point Theatre Channel, New Century Theatre, Foothills Theatre, Stoneham Theater, Shear Madness, Lyric Stage, Tempest Productions, Wheelock Family Theatre, Durham Center Stage, Threshold Theatre, City Stage, and the Boston Theater Marathon, as well as voice over, commercial and industrial work.
Additional cast members of "The Nature Plays" are all members of Actors Equity Association and include: Jacob Athyal, Ed Hoopman, and Theresa Nguyen.
