Sex Offender from JP Charged with Lewd Act in Back Bay Station Bathroom
The suspect was identified as a Level 2 sex offender.

A Level-2 sex offender from Jamaica Plain was arrested on Friday after MBTA Transit Police caught him performing a sexual act alone in a handicap bathroom stall at Back Bay Station, Transit Police said.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, Transit Police responded to a report of a man engaged in a sexual act in the men’s bathroom at the station. Officers entered the restroom and noticed the door to the handicap stall had been open; inside they observed a man, identified later as 49-year-old Steven Flynn of Jamaica Plain, engaged in the lewd act, police said.

Flynn denied the act, and later produced a false identification. Police then discovered during Flynn’s arrest that he was registered as a Level 2 sex offender; he is expected to be arraigned on Monday, Oct. 20, in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division on charges of open and gross lewdness.
