Shots Fired, Teen Arrested In Jamaica Plain: Police
Police were on patrol when they heard shots fired on Heath Street Wednesday.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — An 18-year-old man was arrested this week after police heard shots fired near the Heath Street apartments.
Police said they arrested Antonio Garcia-Rivera, 18 of Roxbury and he will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a large capacity feeding device.
Just after 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers on patrol said they heard multiple shots fired near 130 Heath Street and saw a young man, later identified as Garcia-Rivera, running away along Bickford Avenue.

According to police, they the saw the man run to the back of 36 Wensley Street before jumping a fence into an adjacent backyard.
Eventually officers found the man lying face down on the ground in the side yard of 46 Wensley Street. Officers placed Garcia-Rivera in custody and then found a loaded 9mm Ruger P85 from the backyard of 36 Wensley Street.
