Winter Weather on Its Way, 3-6 Inches of Snow Expected

The year's first Winter Weather Advisory has been issued; Tuesday's commute is going to be treacherous. Check out the hour-by-hour forecast.

By now you know Boston is expected to see its first accumulating snowfall tonight through Tuesday with a storm that’s expected to bring snow, sleet and freezing rain to the area.

Snow is expected to start around midnight Tuesday with between 3 to 6 inches of snow likely for the Tuesday morning commute. Freezing rain is likely from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. with freezing rain continuing into the afternoon inland.

Boston is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 8 p.m. Monday night to 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
