3 New Funds To Be Administered By The Trustees For Public Trusts In Town Of Lexington
The Trustees help donors with their giving today and enable their generosity to continue after their lifetime.

The Lexington Select Board recently accepted for the town, three new funds to be administered by The Trustees of Public Trusts:

The Dan H. Fenn Jr. Scholarship Fund was established by the Family and Friends of Dan Fenn. Each year one or more scholarships will be awarded by the Lexington Scholarship Committee to graduates of Lexington High School or Minuteman Technical Institute. The recipients must have an interest in pursuing further studies and or a career in Public Service or Political Science.
The June Denk Memorial Book Fund was established by Edward Denk in memory of his wife and is to fund the purchase of books at the Lexington High School Library. The books purchased should give preference, but not limited to women’s issues. June Denk was the first woman to receive a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and worked at the Lexington High School Library while her children were growing up.

The Rappaport Family Debate Award was established by Mr. James Rappaport. The recipient is to be chosen by a teacher or school administrator who is responsible for the Lexington High School Debate Team. The recipient must have demonstrated leadership qualities throughout their high school career as well as having exhibited community involvement within the town.
The Trustees of Public Trusts administer, invest and disburse the income of 316 funds valued at over $16,000,000 including two cemetery perpetual care funds and two library funds bequeathed or donated to the town for specific public purposes. All trusts exist in perpetuity and are used locally.
The Trustees help donors with their giving today and enable their generosity to continue after their lifetime. Additional tax deductible donations may be made to these new funds or any of the existing funds at any time by sending the donation to the Select Board, Town of Lexington, 1625 Mass. Ave, Lexington, MA 02420. Any person or organization may create a named trust with a minimum gift of $10,000.
