Boston-based nonprofit Foundation for a Green Future brings individuals together for free, 3-day event to celebrate sustainability efforts

As August approaches, Boston settles into the comfortable bustle that makes the city feel alive. Boston GreenFest, a 3-day festival organized by Foundation for a Green Future, takes over Boston City Hall Plaza on August 3-5. Watch as the plaza comes alive to celebrate innovative sustainability efforts by individuals from around the world. Enjoy eclectic cuisine from renowned food trucks, such as Oath Pizza or Jamaica Mi Hungry, or try out a community yoga class on the plaza. This interactive event provides fun for the whole family. What is Boston GreenFest?
Boston GreenFest is a grassroots effort organized by Boston-based nonprofit Foundation for a Green Future and its dedicated team of community volunteers. Their goal is to educate and empower people to create a more sustainable, healthier world. With musicians, art vendors, food trucks, a Boston Green FilmFest, and even a wine and beer garden, Boston City Hall Plaza transforms into a fun interactive community space where new ideas are welcomed and encouraged.
Who can attend Boston GreenFest?
Boston GreenFest invites everyone of all ages to attend, including children! Kids have the opportunity to check out the EcoKids Center, a section that is filled with interactive exhibits, robots, music, art, and STEM projects. Boston GreenFest is wheelchair accessible.

Who will be performing at Boston GreenFest?
A variety of performers will be welcomed to Boston GreenFest’s stage. Come watch the graceful ballet dancers of Evolution Dance Studio, listen to singer-songwriter Nicholas Emden’s artistic project, support recent Berklee grad Nyali, and mellow out with folk singer Suzanne Rappaport. These are only a few of the many amazing artists who will share their talent on stage.
Food? Drink?
Boston GreenFest even brings a local food truck emporium! Oath Pizza, Bartleby’s Seitan Stand, Jamaica Mi Hungry, and Yommi Healthy Frozen Treats will satisfy all of your cravings. For those more daring, take the opportunity to try wasabi cotton candy. With a valid ID, those 21 and older can soak up the sun in the beer and wine garden while listening to local musicians.

What kind of booths will be at Boston GreenFest?
Individuals from all over the world come to Boston GreenFest to share their innovations and projects. EcoVendors range from ADC Designs, a sustainable jewelry design project whose profits benefit children in India, to One Savvy Mother, homemade and organic upcycled fashion accessories. Exhibitors, such as Yogaworks or Code Ninjas, have space to engage with attendees and showcase their practice. There’s also Nissan’s Ecoride and Drive, an opportunity to test drive an electric vehicle.
Where is Boston GreenFest?
Boston GreenFest is located at Boston City Hall Plaza and Faneuil Hall for all three days. Easily accessible by foot or train, it is located right next to the Government Center train stop.
What time should I get there?
The main stage festival area is open from 12-10pm on Friday and Saturday, 12-6pm on Sunday. This includes the local food truck emporium, EcoBazaar, and Beer and Wine Garden. Exhibitors are scheduled from 12-6pm on all three days.
