CareOne Nursing Home Offering Mother's Day 'Visits'
Families will be able to schedule a "visit" to see their loved one on Mother's Day through the windows of the facility.
LEXINGTON, MA — Social distancing can be tough for people with loved ones in nursing homes and long term care facilities and holidays like Mother's Day can feel especially hard. CareOne nursing homes are trying to ease that struggle by offering families Mother's Day “visits.”
To maintain social distancing protocol and limit the spread of the coronavirus, the visits will be done through the windows of the facility for families of patients and residents who have recovered from or not contracted COVID-19.
Due to state-mandated visitation restrictions, all family members will need to stay outside. Residents are not permitted to leave the building. To keep the parking lot from crowding, CareOne is requesting families schedule a visit ahead of time.

All staff and families will be required to wear face masks or coverings during the visits.
CareOne is also encouraging families to schedule a “virtual” visit via FaceTime for patients who are recovering from COVID-19 or being treated for the virus.
