Catherine Stallard, Conference Planner, Painter, Dies at 47

Catherine Brentani Stallard, 47, of Lexington, formerly of Concord and Arlington, died Friday July 4, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of 9 years of Mark R. Stallard.

Born on December 7, 1966, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she was the daughter of Patricia C. Brodie of Concord and the late Giampiero Brentani. She graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1985 and received a B. A. in International Relations from Boston University in 1989.

Mrs. Stallard was employed as a Conference Planner for the Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE), for Co-Nect, a non-profit educational organization, and for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

She also worked in various capacities at mountain lodges for the Appalachian Mountain Club in New Hampshire and also at Yellowstone National Park. She was a volunteer for the Inline Club of Boston (ICB) and a member of the Sunday Country Riders bicycle club. She also enjoyed hiking, skiing and playing tennis. She also was an artist at Turtle Studios in Watertown. Several of her paintings were accepted for display at Mass General Hospital’s Cancer Center waiting rooms.

In addition to her husband Mark and mother Patricia Brodie, she is also survived by her dear siblings Christine, William and Deborah Brentani and by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held on Friday, July 11th at 9 AM from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
