Daytime Lane Closures On Route 2 In Arlington And Lexington From July 13
Starting July 13 and for three weeks, there will be a single left lane closure both eastbound and westbound between Exit 56 and Exit 57.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has annouced there will be weekday lane closures between Exit 56 and Exit 60 on Route 2 in Lexington and Arlington as part of a highway lighting improvement project.

- Begins on Monday, July 13
- Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays
- Will last for approximately four weeks
Starting July 13 and for three weeks, there will be a single left lane closure both eastbound and westbound between Exit 56 and Exit 57.
For one week, there will be alternating double lane closures both eastbound and westbound between Exit 58 and Exit 60 to allow the installation of conduit across the underside of the Route 60 bridge.

Those traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
