LEXINGTON, MA—Hsi-ching "Oscar" Liu, 88, died peacefully at home in Lexington on May 26.
Born in Fujian Province, China, he graduated from Taiwan University, received a doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati and worked his entire career at Honeywell as a systems analyst. A gentle, kind and simple man, he is fondly remembered by friends and family who love him deeply.
He is survived by his wife Shang-chao “Stella” and his son George, daughter-in-law Susan and grandchildren Joshua, Catherine and Christopher; his daughter Sandra, son-in-law Richard and grandchildren Zoe and Lucas; and his son Henry, daughter-in-law Linda and grandchild Justin.

Funeral services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Oscar and Stella Liu Fund at Cary Memorial Library, carylibrary.org.
