Lexington-Based Startup Offers Grants To Entrepreneurs
Pepperlane, founded by three area moms, helps mothers connect and hire each other. The startup is offering three grants to entrepreneurs.

LEXINGTON, MA – Local startup Pepperlane, a platform that helps connect mothers looking to combine the worlds of business and motherhood, is offering grants to three Lexington-based entrepreneurs who utilize the website. The brainchild of Lexington resident Sharon Kan, Somerville's Jess Peterson and Margaret McKenna of Cambridge, Pepperlane launched in Lexington to connect women for whom being a mom is just one hat they wear.
Now, the website is offering grants to local moms to build their businesses in partnership with the community. The money will fund operations and marketing expenses and serve as a "vote of confidence" for Pepperlane's mother entrepreneurs.
