Lexington Coronavirus Cases Declined Again Last Week

Lexington entered the "green" zone in last week's report from the state.

LEXINGTON, MA — Coronavirus cases in Lexington fell again last week, according to state data, pushing it into the state's green zone.

Lexington reported 28 cases of coronavirus in the two weeks leading up to April 24, compared to 52 cases the week before that. The average daily incidence rate was lower than the previous week's, decreasing to 5.9 from 11.7. The percent positivity decreased from 1.79 percent to 0.86 percent.

The state reported 26 communities were high-risk last week, down from 48 the week before.

Massachusetts reported 19,466 cases in the weeks leading up to April 24, with a daily incidence rate of 20.0 and a percent positivity of 2.01 percent.
