Lexington Couple Will Open New Bagel Shop, Deli Next Week
Jack and Maria Mahoney were looking for the perfect business to open in their Lexington neighborhood.

LEXINGTON, MA -- Get ready to get your lox on, Lexington. Wicked Bagel Bakery & Deli is set to open next week at 171 Massachusetts Avenue near the Arlington town line. The new breakfast and lunch spot is the creation of Lexington residents Jack and Maria Mahoney, who are partnering with baker Marcos Bastos.
Bastos has 15 years of experience and will oversee day-to-day baking at the shop, which will showcase bagels topped with cream cheeses, maple butter, peanut butter, Nutella, sliced banana, tomato, avocado and other options. The menu will also have bagel sandwiches and coffee options.

Eater Boston, which first reported this story, said the Mahoneys wanted to open a business in their hometown. Sales director Robin Plimpton-Magee told Eater the owners hope Wicked Bagel will be open for business by October 26.
