Lexington Hosts Veterans Day Parade And Ceremony
The town is hosting a breakfast, parade and ceremony to honor veterans.
LEXINGTON, MA — For thousands across the country and in town, Monday is more than a day off from work but a day to honor those who served and continue to serve our country. To honor those service men and women in Lexington, the town is hosting it's annual Veterans Day parade and ceremony.
Veterans will be honored with a parade starting at the Lexington Police Station at 10 a.m. The parade route heads west on Massachusetts Avenue to Lexington Center and onto Circle the Battle Green and return to Cary Hall. This year's grand marshal is Winston “Pat” Flynn, Captain, retired, US Army, whose 21 year military career includes service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Recipient of 5 Purple Hearts. He will be accompanied by his wife, Edith Flynn.

The day ends with a ceremony at Isaac Harris Cary Memorial Hall at 11 a.m. The master of ceremonies this year is Glen Bassett, Col, retired, USMC and the guest of honor is Winston “Pat” Flynn, Captain, US Army, retired. This year's keynote speaker is Edith Flynn, PhD, Professor of Criminal Justice, retired from Northeastern University.
