Lexington Select Board Extends Tax Payment Due Date Until June 1
The waiver applies to bills due after March 10, so long as you pay before June 30.

The Tax Collector's Office has mailed all 4th quarter FY 2020 Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bills.

The original due date printed on the bill was May 1.
However, the Lexington Select Board has voted to accept the provisions of a recent change in the law that allows for the due date of the upcoming real estate tax bill to be changed to June 1.

So the installment originally due on May 1 is now due on June 1.
The Select Board also voted on two other items:
- An extension of the due date for deferral applications from April 1 to June 1.
- A waiver of interest accruals and penalties for late payments of any excise, tax, betterment assessment, water or sewer use or other charges. The waiver applies to bills due after March 10, so long as you pay before June 30.
