LEXINGTON, MA — All Massachusetts residents over age 16 have been eligible for the vaccine for over a week, and this week's state vaccine data provides a look into the beginning of that rollout.

More than 650 Lexington residents under the age of 30 have received at least the first dose since eligibility expanded. Over 80 percent of Lexington's oldest residents — people over the age of 75 — have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state’s data. Forty percent of Lexington residents as a whole are fully vaccinated, up from 35 percent last week.

Nearly a quarter of the town's residents have received just the first dose. Three in four residents ages 65 to 74 — the second oldest age group — are fully vaccinated.
