Lexington Weather Forecast: Warm Temperatures Return

After an arctic weekend, the warm temperatures could be returning to the area.

LEXINGTON, MA—Temperatures that fell below zero put Lexington and the surrounding areas in a deep freeze, but the cold front is passing and Lexington could be in for a warmer week.

Temperatures are currently projected to break the 50 degree mark during the upcoming week. In addition, skies should be relatively clear and chances of precipitation are low later in the week, making for a more pleasant February week.

Here’s Lexington’s extended forecast according to the National Weather Service.

Monday: A chance of snow, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 27. Wind chill values as low as -5. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday: Rain. Patchy fog before 11am. High near 52. South wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 37.
