Lexington Weather: Will the Snow Melt?

A look at Lexington's forecast for the week.

LEXINGTON, MA—The kids were off school today due to the snowy conditions, and while significant accumulations aren’t expected for the rest of the week, we could be dealing with some more wintry weather in Lexington.

The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of snow showers on both Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. However, accumulations may reach less than an inch on Tuesday and there is not projected to be any further accumulation Wednesday and Thursday.

Here’s a look at Lexington’s extended forecast, according to NWS:

  • Tuesday: A chance of snow before 7am, then a chance of snow showers, mainly between 7am and noon. Cloudy, with a high near 29. North wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Wednesday: A chance of snow showers, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
  • Thursday: A chance of snow showers, mainly between 11am and 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  • Friday: Sunny, with a high near 24.
