Lexington's Weather: From 60 Degrees to Snow

Snow is possible on Saturday, Sunday and Monday; after a week in which temperatures exceeded 60 degrees.

LEXINGTON, MA - Yes, you read that right. After some beautiful, warm, sunny weather, Lexington is expected to see some snow this weekend and on Monday.

After temperatures in the 60s Thursday and Friday, cool weather is moving in, along with the white stuff. Lexington is predicted to get around two to four inches of snow

Here's a look at Lexington weekend forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

  • Saturday Night: A chance of rain showers before 4am, then snow showers, possibly mixed with rain. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 30. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Sunday: Snow before 10am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 10am and 11am. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 37. Windy, with a west wind 28 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 4am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
  • Monday: Snow likely, mainly after 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

More snow is in the forecast to start the week with early snow showers on Monday turning to steadier snow in the afternoon bringing another one to three inches. And even some more snow showers Monday night.
