James H. White, of Lexington and Arlington, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014.
Beloved husband of the late Bernardette (Simons). Loving father of Carolyn A. White of Arlington, H. James White Jr. of Germantown, Maryland, and Peter J. White of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also survived by seven grandchildren

James was a Korean War Army veteran. A retired chemist, he was credited for two patents; he taught a citizenship class at the Haitian Coalition of Somerville, and after Sept. 11th, he facilitated a Christian Muslim Jewish Dialogue in the Arlington-Winchester area. He was an avid rower and taught sculling to many. He was an active parishioner at Saint Eulalia’s Church.
Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Route 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church), ARLINGTON, on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Eulalia’s Church in Winchester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting Monday, 4-8 p.m. Burial is private.
