Town Of Lexington Manager Appoints Michael McLean As Interim Police Chief

Following the retirement of Chief Mark Corr, Town Manager Jim Malloy has named Michael McLean, current Captain of Operations, as Interim Police Chief of the Lexington Police Department. McLean has served as Captain of Operations for the Department since 2015. He will serve as Interim Chief while the Town conducts a nationwide search for a permanent replacement.

“I am extremely honored to serve as Interim Chief of the Lexington Police Department,” said Interim Chief McLean. “It is an honor to have the opportunity to lead a department of professional staff who are dedicated to the fair and equitable treatment of everyone in Lexington. We are fortunate to serve a well-informed and engaged community, and I am committed to keeping an open dialogue between the Department and the community,” he added.

“I’m looking forward to working with Interim Chief McLean as we look to the future of the Lexington Police Department,” said Town Manager Jim Malloy. “His extensive experience in policing, and his familiarity with our community, makes him well-qualified to lead the Department,” he added.
