What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In Lexington

Along with town offices and banks, by state law, liquor stores are also closed on Memorial Day in Massachusetts.

LEXINGTON, MA—Monday, May 29, is Memorial Day, and the holiday means some businesses and other places in town will be closed.

Specifically, Town Hall will be closed in Lexington, along with liquor stores, which are closed on Memorial Day due to Massachusetts state law. Additionally, Cary Memorial Library will be closed all weekend long.

  • Schools: Closed
  • Library: Closed
  • Banks: Closed
  • Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Convenience stores: Open
  • Retail stores: Open at owner’s discretion
  • Restaurants, bars: Open at owner’s discretion
  • Liquor stores: Closed
  • Trash, recycling: Delayed one day.
