Woman Arrested for OUI, Resident Taken by Phone Scam

Saturday, November 16-

Police placed a Lexington man into protective custody.

Sunday, November 17-

Police arrested Elizabeth Anne Briggs, 28, of 1 Blodgett Road, Lexington, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor (2nd offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, marked lane violation and speeding. Arrested made at 3:57 p.m. on Grove Street.

At 1:16 p.m. there was a report of an erratic drive on Bedford Street.

Monday, November 18-

At 12:37 p.m. there was a report of a stolen iPad on Mass. Avenue. A Lincoln resident came to station to report her iPad was stolen while she was at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt during afternoon of November 15. She had left the iPad around 3 p.m. and video shows someone walking out with it. The device was valued at $600.

At 9:04 p.m. there was a report of fraud on Grant Street. an elderly resident was contacted by someone on the phone stating he was her grandchild and was in jail and needed money. She sent a $3,600 wire transfer to Peru. The call was a scam.
