Despite Loss To H-W, Lynnfield Gets No. 1 Playoff Seed
Pioneers will face Bedford is first round matchup.
Shake it off, forget the weekend, and it's on to Bedford. That will be the message this week as Lynnfield regroups from a disappointing 35-7 loss to Hamilton-Wenham Friday. It wasn't all bad, as the Pioneers loss wasn't enough to knock them out of the top seed in the Division 5 North ratings.
As a result, Lynnfield (6-1) hosts Bedford (2-5) Friday at 7 in a first-round game. Bedford held on to the No. 8 seed despite losing to Wayland Friday, 41-18. Lynnfield beat Wayland, 28-26, in the second game of the year.
