Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Workshops For Town Board Members

Two-Part Series Sponsored By A Healthy Lynnfield

A Healthy Lynnfield, a community partnership working to promote healthy choices in Lynnfield, is sponsoring a two-part zoom workshop series for members of the Town of Lynnfield boards and commissions on the topics of diversity, equity and inclusion. The sessions, led by Susan Nalmark and Manisha Bewtra, are designed to equip members with tools to improve cultural responsiveness and reduce bias in their work.

Session 1: Building Shared Language (Choose between: Wednesday, December 9 or Thursday, December 10 from 6:30 – 8:00p.m.).

  • Developing shared language
  • Understanding what is gained by addressing diversity, equity and inclusion
  • An exploration of culture
  • Town data and observances.
  • Dimensions of culture
  • What it means to be culturally inclusive and responsive
  • Creating a more inclusive community and reducing harm

Session 2: Cultural Responsiveness & Reducing Bias (Choose between: Wednesday, December 16 or Thursday, December 17 from 6:30 – 8:00p.m.)
