Farmers Markets Will Soon Return To Local Towns
Here's when some of your favorites will be back in business for new season.

Eventually it's going to stop raining and we're going to want to head outdoors. And there's nothing better than hitting some of the areas farmers markets for great food, entertainment, and even fun for the kids. Here's a look at local farmers markets and when they'll be open for business.
Stoneham - The Stoneham Farmers Market returns to the Town Common on June 6 and will be held every Thursday until Sept. 26. It will not be held July 4. The market is open between 2:30-6:30 p.m. There is a great roster of vendors this year, including returning favorites and new additions. There is live music, free kids activities, and more. And, all farm vendors accept SNAP/HIP. For more information check out the website.
Wakefield - Located just steps from Lake Quannapowitt, the Wakefield Farmers Market opens on Saturday, June 15 and runs until Oct. 19. The market is open on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market first opened in 2009. There is an average of 34 vendors each season, some coming every week and some with alternating week or occasional schedules, for an average of 22 vendors each week. Winchester - The Winchester Farmers Market starts Saturday, June 8 and runs until the last Saturday of October. It's held on the Town Common and runs between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In addition to showcasing and promoting the consumption of locally grown fruits, vegetables and meats, the Market provides an outdoor venue for art, musical performances, and special events. North Reading - The North Reading Farmers Market at the Ipswich River Park is held on Wednesdays starting June 19 and running until August 28. It will not be held July 3. The markets opens at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m. The Farmers Market is run by North Reading's Land Utilization Committee for the benefit of Ipswich River Park and other open space projects in North Reading. There's entertainment every market day including singer/songwriters, dance studios and more. For more information check out their website.
