FBI Data Finds Drop in Property Crimes in Lynnfield
FBI provides data each year on various crimes for towns across America.

Annual local data released by the FBI finds that Lynnfield saw a significant drop in property crimes between 2011 and 2012.
Total property crimes reported in town fell from 228 in 2011 to 106 in 2012. Reported burglaries were down by about half, from 63 to 30 in that time period. Larceny reports fell from 159 to 70. Both years also saw six motor vehicle thefts reported.
In general, other categories of crime remained relatively modest in Lynnfield. Seven violent crimes were reported in town in 2012, compared to 11 in 2011. Of there were six aggravated assaults and one robbery reported in town last year, compared to nine aggravated assaults and two robberies in 2011. There were no murders or forcible rapes reported in Lynnfield in either 2012 or 2011.
